Jessie is 23 years of age, as of this July. She celebrated her birthday with three British strangers in the Belgian town of Brugge, which has a museum dedicated to french fries and their history. They are not actually French but actually come from Belgium. It was American soldiers in WWI who termed them “french” fries because the Belgian soldiers who had shared them with the American troops were francophones.
